Alternative to Indian Conservatives and Modern Left.

Unlike western countries where cultural and academic institutions are dominated by progressives, Indian cultural and academia barring few exceptions is dominated by conservatives. Those who don't wish to align with either conservatives and progressives, truly find themselves alone.

Indian conservative class is one of the most hypocritical compared to liberals. But this doesn't warrant anyone for supporting the liberals as two wrongs don't make right. Being moderate is not an option because howsoever moderates think that the politics is not zero sum game, the stakes are highest.
When you want the society to function according to your needs(preferably just) you have to identify your interests with one or the other party.
Aam Aadmi Party which burst on the scene, failed to make impact on national scale, because it lacked organization, ideology and general consensus. The idea is to make government work for you and do it in the most efficient way possible. how to go about this business then, because everyone knows that it is the way to go but question remains of method to be adopted.

The means don't justify the ends, period. The process needs to be fair and reasonable along with the objective sought to be achieved. Otherwise in process more injustice will be met out than it will be achieved by the end.
The correct alternative to Indian politics is not local parties, which are more regressive than the national conservative parties themselves, but ideology which is based in justice. The history of India is one that of ideals of justice espoused in epics and texts and real injustices met out to the populace.
I for one don't care about the glorification of the past. I can appreciate the good things but not without looking at the downsides.

India in present still retains the caste system with its self preserving mechanism of endogamy and social restrictions and disregard for rule of law to achieve betterment of minority section of society.
I don’t believe in eternal progress but looking at India, it is apparent that it still needs to catch up with rest of the world in nearly everything. There is going to be immense wealth generation in India and it is undoubtedly going to be unequal.

Indian society is highly fragmented. As society is progressing while carrying the burden of history, there is no telling that which induvial identity will take precedence over which one. Although being Hindu can be unifying factor, but when it comes to question of Identity between Hindus, caste identities will take precedence.
Villages are den of ignorance, poverty and injustice said Ambedkar and rightly so.

The oppression in traditional forms is much more prevalent in villages than in the cities. the city offers a kind of anonymity, but still not complete protection. Intermarriage and increased contact is the only way to erase caste identities.
There is also chance that before that happens, in place of caste various other identities will take its place. Progressivism being one of them and certainly dominant.

The Indian conservatives are mostly mercantilist. They favor free market only because this will benefit the country. and here i want to point out that everyone doesn’t benefit equally.

The enlightened socialism of Nehru’s strain literally went bankrupt and it is enough empirical evidence in my not so humble opinion to show that socialism won’t work.
The concept of justice is not only legal but social, political and economic too. justice applies to dealings of human beings with other human beings. so it is not surprising to speak of economic justice in terms of collective aspect and individual aspect too.

Now coming back to present Indian scenario, congress party is the one which could be suitable alternative to conservatives and communist parties to which the congress itself aligns with. The congress party has zero cultural impact. The cultural impact of RSS which has trademark for Indian Culture has been in making for generations. When we want to create the institutions that last and make widespread impact, the work needs to be thorough otherwise its better to join one or the other faction.

The libertarian thought and most importantly Rothbard has been influential figure for me. if we want to win in the long term, we need to start from now to build a just ideology and parallel structures. It wont be a easy task as we need to navigate the infinitely complex Identities.
